The action-adventure Just Cause series has been renowned for its open-world exploration that focuses on non-linear progression and allows players the freedom of choosing how they’d like to play. The visuals have also received praise, thanks to the lush tropical environments and the intense combat sequences. The first Just Cause was released in 2006, and its sequel was released in 2015, featuring what was then one of the largest maps ever seen in a game. The third entry in the series Just Cause 3 is set for release on December 1st.
Taking place several years after the events of Just Cause 2, Just Cause 3 will feature a new map just as large as the one in the previous game. This time around, players will take on the role of Rico Rodriguez as he seeks to liberate an island from the control of dictator General Di Ravello. New features in this installment will allow players to explore subterranean caverns, and a new wingsuit makes traveling long distances around the world faster. Players can also scale buildings more effectively.
